Hi, I’m Ingrid!
I’ve grown up and am still living in Bucharest, Romania with the world in my heart, trying to blend in traveling (whenever and wherever possible), reading and yoga into the boring corporate life of a financial controller.
Why the blog?
When I was a child I used to look at the lines airplanes made on the sky and imagined what it feels like to travel so I indulged in my only means I had at the time of seeing different cultures and places, BOOKS. Later on, after a lot of hard work, sweat and tears (in some cases literally), I have managed to create for myself the life that I wanted to live and to explore some of the world’s most beautiful places.
Working 40 hours per week (most of the times even more) with only 22 paid vacation days per year can be hard, but I manage to keep all 22 of them filled with fun travels. Many friends have asked me to share my travel experiences, thus I’ve decided to start writing this blog and share it so you could enjoy my experiences too and hopefully have something to learn from them.
Where have I been?
As a person born and raised in Europe, I could say I was lucky to be so close to all the major tourist attractions, but coping with the downside of being far from tropical destinations. So far I have been to: Greece (Northern part, Thessaloniki, Meteora, Athens, Corfu island), Spain (Barcelona and Valencia), Italy (Trieste and its outskirts, Rome, Tivoli, Udine, Venice, Gorizia, Legnano, Grado, Palmanova, Genoa, Firenze, Perugia, Napoli, Sorrento, Amalfi Coast, Verona, Bologna, Sora, Catania, Taormina, Siracusa, Messina), Germany (Munich and outskirts, Dusseldorf, Koln, Nuremberg), The Netherlands (Amsterdam), Austria (Vienna, Innsbruck), Slovakia (Bratislava), Slovenia (Ljubljana), Croatia (Zagreb, Krk Island, Plitvice Reserve, Dubrovnik), Montenegro (Kotor, Budva, Dobrota), Serbia (Belgrade, Kragujevac), UK (London), Norway (Oslo), France (Paris), Malta, Bulgaria (Bansko, the seaside), Hungary (Budapest), The Czech Republic (Prague), Cuba, Vietnam (Saigon and Phu Quoc island), Tanzania and Zanzibar.
What’s in it for you?
